It's Tuesday...

Hi everyone!

I'm sitting here with an empty wine glass in front of me (probably because I emptied it!), after a day at work in the city. So I get there this morning and there is no computer on my desk, no chair, no nothing! I thought, "Am I being told something here???" But no, I knew what it was. We had new carpet laid over the weekend and our practice manager hadn't had time to get my stuff up and going. So, after scouting around trying to find my hard drive, flat screen (which were in two totally different places) and various bits and pieces I use, by 8.30 I was up and going. However, before I could get going on the everyday stuff which was multiplying at a horrifying rate, I had four "urgents" to do, as the patients were coming to pick them up that day. Got through them and could start on the charts which seemed to be multiplying every time I looked away! Aaaah, never mind, they will still be there tomorrow...

I went and saw Master Cooper over the weekend who was seven weeks old last Saturday. He's such a chubby bubby now, his chicken legs have filled out beautifully, he has lovely round cheeks and I just feel like eating him!! Only thing, the last couple of times I have seen him, he's been sound asleep and boy, can he sleep. My daughter had the TV on, her pet galah was going delirious in the rain and making an awful racket; we were talking and laughing and in the midst of all this commotion the phone rang. Our Master Cooper never moved and he was asleep on the lounge! According to Ms Toni, he had a big day the day before. His other grandma, aunts, uncles and cousins came to visit and there was no way Master Cooper was going to sleep, he was having too much fun. So he was catching up on shuteye.

I don't believe it, I was watching the news headlines when the voice over said that a jockey was facing trouble for headbutting his horse and there it was on the video clip, this gutless wonder headbutting his lovely horse. What a loser!

Got woken up last night, but I didn't really mind, because what woke me up was the lovely sound of rain absolutely bucketing down. I just hope it fell in the catchment areas so that the dams get this lovely water. Apparently we're supposed to be getting a storm tonight (storms in winter? Sounds really weird. We get our storms in summer.) However, if it means rain and hopefully water in the dams, I'll take it any which way.

Anyway, I'm not going to ramble on any more. I love reading your blogs and thank you very much for your comments. I love reading them also.

Oh before I go, I was talking to my irrepressible mother in the weekend. She had her tests and her ultrasound proved that her heart was fine, her pulse was fine and so the operation can go ahead. She is sooo looking forward to have her gallbladder out so she can go back to eating her "naughty food" like butter, cream, rich cheese, etc - you get the picture. However, I told her that she may find, because she has been eating low fat stuff for so long, the rich food may upset her stomach. She was not impressed at all...

Take care everyone

Ha! Be thankful for that rain, in Sacramento we are suffering under record heat and power shortages. 105 degrees Fairenheit! Nothing FAIR about it! I assume a galah is a bird? Sounds like that little Master Cooper is the perfect baby! One who SLEEPS!!!

Got any wine left? I need a glass of it...heck give me the whole bottle!! lol Sounds like a lovely way to relax after a day at work! Baby Cooper sounds delightful and isn't it funny what some babies can sleep through...with others, you just make a teeny tiny sound and they wake up! Glad you finally got some rain, I can't even imagine how dry it must be over there. Also glad to hear your mom can now go ahead with her surgery...I had to laugh when you mentioned her not being impressed that afterwards rich food might upset her tummy! hehe

Glad for the good new about your mother.

I see Sacramento is represented here. I'm not that far away.

Miss Pink is right about the heat. We're a few degrees warmer here in the San Joaquin valley.

Firstly, nothing wrong with an empty glass of wine.

Secondly, glad to hear your mom's doing well.
