When it's Raining...

You look around for things to do inside. We haven't had so much rain for years (it's getting on for 24 hours nonstop) and I've forgotten how to live with rain.

Anyway, not so long ago, I read on someone's blog that there was a meme of what was on the walls. What a good idea, I thought. So below are what I have on my walls.

Two cat pictures, kitchen.

Fire extinguisher in the kitchen

A cross stitch my daughter did and framed for me...a birthday present a number of years ago.

My grandmother...bedroom wall

Cooper 6 months old, loungeroom.

Then I had these pictures of the magpies that live at our place. There's a male and two females. One female is his wife, the other is the concubine because she's not allowed to eat until they've finished.

Mum & Dad with Concubine in the background.
See how patchy and dry the lawn is.

Oi! Where's my breakfast?

What a fun idea to show what's on your walls! Love that picture of your grandmother!! I have so many things hanging on my walls, there's not too many spaces left! lol xox

This rain is wonderful, isn't it, Robyn? It rained all through the night and it hasn't stopped today, up here...the same as down there where you are. :)

I have no space left on my walls here. I've got paintings and prints everywhere. I'll have to build another wall if I want to hang up anything else!

I have forgotten how to live with sun !! It becomes something very rare over here.
Indeed the cat family is nice now I think the worst is over and it didn't last too long. Little Rosie is a very nice kitten and easy. I remember Arthur who always put himself in troubles as a kitten. He even watered my plants at that time !
Rosie will be our last kitten of course, we are not getting younger and if everything goes smooth and she would live 20 years as my other cats I would be 83 !

Great meme, I may have to do that one at some point. I like the cat pictures and cross stitch.

Hi Robyn ~~ Great things on your walls. I have things all over my walls. The rain will help the patchy lawn. We need more down here.
Glad you liked the Grandmother story
all except the teeth!! I like that she had nothing else to do, but be a grandma. Take care, my friend, Love, Merle.

I didn't know that magpies had concubines!
My walls are so cluttered I wouldn't know where to begin.
I think the cross stitch on your wall is very nice as are the pictures of Grandmother and Cooper.

Fire extinguisher: not only do I not have one, but when batteries die on the fire alarms, I take the alarms off the wall and hide them in a closet. There were so many here when I moved in! (Probably good to have them seeing as there are no hydrants for fire trucks in the woods: they have to truck water in if there is no pond or river. But I have the beaver ponds across the road).

Your grandmother is so beautiful.

And the magpies. Oh my goodness! They come right up to the door? That is so neat! They are pretty big.

Robyn, please send some of that rain up this way. We are badly in need of it.

Hmmmm my walls are practically blank. They were supposed to be painted aout a year ago. I have'nt finished that and therefore no pictures can be hung. If all my pictures were on the walls though... there would be literally hundreds if you combine photos, art and funnies. Goodness, I must light a fire under my butt and get it finished. xox
