I'm Feeling a Lot Better

There hasn't been any rain today to speak of, but I still think we may get a little more...it's been very windy though. None of our trees have fallen, which is a good thing, because we're waiting on the tree lopper...still! Anyway, the water tanks a gratifyingly full, so that will keep us going for a little while...until we get some more rain. The farmers and vege growers out in the Brisbane Valley are ecstatic...this rain has even saved some from bankruptcy...so hopefully the summer veges won't be so expensive.

Ken is still not himself...not by a long way and Jane is arranging for the Blue Nurses to come in and take a look at him. She's also going to get them to put handles on the walls in the shower and toilet. He's a big man, 6ft 5" and 120 kg, and he's still pretty weak so he's going to need something like that. He's not up to visitors but I'm keeping away from him because of whatever it is I've had.

I must admit I'm feeling heaps better today. I think I did the right thing by not going to work and keeping quiet...thank goodness...I hate being sick. Fortunately, it doesn't happen very often and if I do get something, I get over it pretty quick. So, I'm in a much better mood today...I only slept for an hour, too. Not three or four which I have been doing, and that is so not me! I have too much to do to have a sleep, anyway I don't usually get tired during the day...so I don't know what was going on. Whatever...it's gone now.

I went and had a cup of coffee with Jane earlier, she's gradually coming right too. But apparently, Wendy, our neighbour over the back is poorly...talk about passing things on!
I was talking to Elder Daughter earlier, too. Every time I talk to her I have to ask if the wedding is still on. I think the stress is getting to the pair of them...because it's on then off, then on again...poor things. Never mind, it's only about six weeks away and then they can relax. They're going on a Pacific cruise for their honeymoon...with Cooper, of course...lol!

I also spoke to Younger Daughter and the home schooling is going quite well...Harry is gradually coming to realise that it's not a holiday and his mother has threatened to send him back to school if he slacks off...typical kid. Gabrielle is okay, she just gets straight in and gets it out of the way, but she likes studying anyway, so it's no big deal for her.

Right, that's all...nothing particularly interesting...but you get that. Thank you all for your good wishes...I think that helped me come right. Although Lee maybe right...I had run out of wine...better get some tomorrow!

That's typical girl boy behaviour, isn't it? The girl happy to study; the boy wants to play!

I'm glad you're feeling better, and I hope Ken will soon be really up on his feet again. He must have taken a real battering one way and another.

I don't know how you can be having rain because I don't believe there can be any left in the sky after the rain we've had recently! This summer we have been in the pool once and not had a single barbecue!! And we bought a new one too!

Wedding nerves: they get everyone at some point. A Pacific cruise, how lovely.

Robyn,
It sounds as if all things are moving in the right direction, but you'd best be stocking up on vino to stave of any relapses. ;-)

Wedding dtress can be so horrible. I pray they will settle down and be able to enjoy the wedding.
I'm glad you are feeling better. I had something for about three days too. Not sure what it was but had a bit of a sick tummy and wanted to sleep a lot. Thank the Lord I'm feeling good again.
I pray you continue to improve and have no further episodes.

Sounds like you are feeling better. I took an hour and a half nap this afternoon. I never did anything like this in my 50's...what is wrong with us? I just feel sleepy so much of the time anymore. I went to bed early last night. Got up early and went to Curves to work but only worked for 4 hours!! Man i am falling apart!! smile..Take care

I'm glad you're feeling better. That would make me nuts to have the wedding on again, off again. Can you imagine if it were you and not knowing from one minute to the next if you had the future you planned or not? Yup, I'd be insane!

LOL why is it every time I see wine I think of you??? hehe I'm glad to hear you're feeling so much better today...sometimes just a quiet day will help wonders. I admire anyone who homeschools...I don't think I would have had the patience for it! Glad to hear the on again off again wedding is on again! lol I'm sure you'll ALL be happy when it's done and over with:-) It certainly is a very stressful time planning a wedding! Stay well my friend and I do pray that Ken soon starts to be himself again soon! xox
