The Saturday Morning Garage Sale

Except it was held in a carport. Jane and Fred decided to get rid of a bit of stuff and Fred's niece and her husband brought some furniture over. So last night the cars were moved out and the furniture, clothes, toys and bric a brac moved in.

Waiting for eager buyers

The tarpaulin laid out with a large rug, toys, bits and pieces and a surf ski.

Tables and chairs (I bought the front one for $30). My car was not for sale...someone did ask.

Clothes, shoes and curtains

A large wall unit and two fans.

Fred and Jane...no, they weren't for sale...not sure what Jane's doing here.

They sold quite a bit of stuff. As I said earlier, I bought one table and chair set, but the wall unit didn't go. However, Fred and Jane aren't too worried about that...they're going to buy it to put in the rumpus room.
That was Saturday.

Gee you got yourself a real bargain there Robyn. That's a steal at $30. I love garage sales, you can find some real treasures if you're lucky.

Robyn,
We need to have one of those sales, except I want to keep the garage. Actually we've needed to have a sale for years, so now if we have one it will probably take a month or more to put it all out. I've got to think in smaller pieces I guess.

No, I'm selling my books!!! ;)

Such sales are always a lot off fun to me I did it on a flea market ! Our holidays are still wonderful and yesterday I haggled until I got the price I wanted ! Was very hard !

I do love garage sales. I wish I could have been there but it would have been a very expensive trip considering that I live in the USA.
You certainly got a wonderful bargain on that table and chairs set. It is very nice looking. No way I could buy a set here that inexpensively.
Hope you have a nice week end.

OK...lets see...I'll take both table and chair sets...I am having a lot of company for Thanksgiving you know!!

And Oh My Mercy I need at least one of those storage units...the glass fronted one would go nicely in my kitche...

Drat it...why do you have to live "down under"!!!

Hi Robyn ~~ The garage sale looks like fun and you got a great bargain.
Nice to see Fred and Jane too.
Thanks for your comments, and I am glad you liked The White Rose story and the jokes. I watched quite a bit of the Cricket so I saw that Sunny
Q'ld was a bit damp at times. It has been warm here today 30 degrees and
a bit higher tomorrow. A taste of what is to come. Take care, Love, Merle. Have you heard from Lee?

I like that table. I'm going to get one when I find one that I can afford that has drawers on the sides. Is your car a Prius, those hybrid things? The front looks like it. I'm glad I know what Fred and Jane look like.

I had an inservice day today: I had to go to work but not in school, I had to fall asleep in a class. Now I don't ever want to go back to work. Tomorrow. Ever.

You didn't sell your own jacket or handbag...? Sorry, been watching too many bad situation comedies...
