A Summer Deluge

Typical for this time of year is this downpour we had a couple of hours ago. Hopefully, it's the beginning of a proper Wet which we haven't had for quite some years.

The downpipe is having trouble coping.

What looks like mist is rain, coming down in buckets.

Another downpipe having trouble.
As I type this, I can hear thunder so it looks as if there's some more rain coming through. That means I have to close down and unplug the broadband modem in case of lightning strikes...don't want it cooked, could be a tad expensive.
BTW, if you do the double click thing, you can enlarge to have a good look.

I know that your country has needed a good rain. i read it at other people's blogs too. You might have a "rainy Christmas"!! It is so much better than our daughter and family in Illinois. They have been house bound with ice everywhere. So glad I don't have to endure that kind of weather any more...Sandy
Have a great day...night...I forget!!

On this side of the equator we hope for a white Christmas; on your side do you hope for a sunny Christmas?

Hi Robyn:-) Wow, you sure were getting rain when you posted...hopefully you didn't lose power or anything! You need the rain, though, so I'm sure no one is complaining! lol xox

Oh how I wish we could see rain like that, any rain at all would be good. It's so dry, brown and dusty here and the ground is like concrete. Wouldn't it be great if we could share it around evenly?

Hope you have a happy evening :)

From what I have been hearing about your lack of rain woes I hope you get soaked to.

Here on the other hand we got 6 inches of the frozen white rain which stays around until april.

It's snowwing like blizzard-ville here. No excuses for Santa not arriving this year.

I remember last year (or a few months ago?) when you were so awfully and dangerously dry. This is great news.

Too much of everything isn't good. Maybe you should be happy it isn't in Norway as it will give you quite a lot of snow :-)
