Out For Dinner

Friday night I was invited out to dinner. It was for the little junior where I used to work...she had turned 21 a few days previously. So I found a beautiful crystal suncatcher for her and the others had put in and gave her a beautiful silver pendant, bought from Tiffany's, indeed.

We went to a restaurant in South Bank called Toscani's. My friend, Helen (whom I went with to Toowoomba a few weeks back) and I decided to get oysters for starters, but, being a Friday the seafood was in demand and they had run out of oysters. We decided we wouldn't have a starter and ordered a prawn and avocado salad for our main. Helen also had a bowl of steamed vegetables. The salad was delicious with fat, juicy prawns which were so fresh...yum. Then later on I ordered dessert (I was glad I hadn't had the oysters), tiramisu. Very nice, not too rich. I was offered cream and icecream with it but said no to that. I finished off with a cup of coffee while Helen had a hot white chocolate drink with marshmellows.

It was a lovely meal and we had a gorgeous young waiter with a very sexy Italian accent. Helen, the shameless hussy, flirted outrageously with him...too much Chardonnay for her, I think. She had us in fits of laughter after that telling us a story about a guy she went with after her divorce, who was eight years younger than her. Apparently he was very nice (this said with sparkling eyes and a cheeky grin)...and that's all I'm going to say here.

We had a great time but, of course, I went to bed and wondered why I couldn't sleep. Finally figured out it was the coffee...

Hi Robyn ~ ~ Thank you so much for your comments about John and his bike and I am sure he has had a great time. He met up with Peter first wife, Auntie Jacqui to him, also 2 of Peter's sons, Alan and Marcus. Missed out on Bruce. He was going to try to catch up with Vicki last I heard. I hope he does see her,and then he will be home in a few days.
Sounds like you all had a great night out and great meals. Good for you.
Take care, Love, Merle.

Yum. You just woke up the hungry monster mentioning all those deli's :-)

Ah, it sounded like a fun evening out indeed, even with the waiter flirting... haha... Laughter is never wrong.
