It's Hot

My daughter sent me these photos she received in an email. Now it's got to be bloody hot for a koala to come this close for a drink. The photos were taken on South Australia Freeway.

I hope few of those cute koalas and every other creature have been hurt or killed by the brush fires.

All of Australia is in my prayers.

Awww! That's cute I've never seen a furry little swine like that come down from the trees for a cup of beer or whatever she's plying him/her with...

Puss-in-Boots should do my "Furry Friday" or even "Furry Friday on Saturday" "meme" ~ you're welcome to join; I think it's fantastic ;->...

Dear Robyn ~~ You don't often see koalas in the open like that and I guess there were lots lost in the fires. Deaths 131 now (5pm) and they still expect more. I can't stop crying for all the loss of life and the terrible injuries and loss of homes not to mention livestock or wildlife. Black Saturday for sure.
I am about an hour or so from Beechworth, and Bendigo etc, and should be safe. It is cooler, but the air is full of smoke.
I hope the floods soon end as well as the fires. Take care, my friend
Love, Mertle.

Wonderful photos but scary, too. Thank goodness those cyclists were there for that little koala!

This really took me down the memory lane from when I was in Perth and saw them for the first time :-)

Oh, wow, look at that! I'm guessing they don't usually just come out to people? Poor little thing, he must have really been thirsty. I can't get over the heat you're having over there, it's insane. No doubt you're VERY happy to have put in an air conditioner? hehe xoxo
