I'm Baa-aack!

Oh boy, I sure know when Mercury is retrograde. Communication goes out the window and all sorts of funny things happen with my computer and money glitches occur. My earnings from my home job didn't arrive and when I queried it, the person responsible for paying out on the invoices thought he had actioned mine, it looked as if he had, but in fact he hadn't! Consequently, no money in bank, car payment collected a fee from the bank for taking me into overdraft and so on. Don'tcha just hate that?

Cooper and his mummy are coming to visit this afternoon, so I will get to have more cuddles. Next week Ms Toni has a couple of specialist appointments, one of which is for an ultrasound, so I said I would go with her to look after Cooper, as we don't want him exposed to those rays. I really like this only two days a week at work in the city and the rest of the time working at home. I can be so flexible and I see more of my family. I was thinking of giving up the two days, but I only have a couple of years before retiring, so I thought I may as well go on until then. I can still do the work from home, but it will be so nice not travelling into the city.

Yesterday, I got myself into gear and made some of Ms Flossy's kick ass triple chocolate muffins. Mmmm mmmm, just mouth watering, luscious sinful chocolate and do you know what? I don't really give a damn (shades of Rhett Butler)! I mentioned to Ms Toni that I had made them and that she could try them with her coffee this afternoon. I could hear her drooling over the phone.

Talking of food (which I seem to do in every post), Jane knocked on the door the other day. I noticed she was holding her hand behind her back and had a grin on her face. Ta daaaa! She whipped her hand from behind her back and presented me with...a leek! Now you may think that is a very strange thing to buy someone, but I adore leeks and they are soooo expensive at the moment. So when Jane saw them at the markets and they were cheap, she bought me one. Isn't that thoughtful? She really is a lovely neighbour.

I haven't seen or heard of Ms Flossy for a few days. I know she is busy making up stuff for her shop so I am keeping out of her hair. However, I may sneak down to see her tomorrow.

As for my Mum, as yet I haven't heard how she went with her stress test or when her operation is, but I will catch up with her in the weekend and keep you informed. My darling uncle, Mum's brother is not very well. I had an email from him the other day. I know he reads my blog, so get well soon, Cedrick. I love you.

Well, it's a bit of a dull day today and there is a slight chance of some rain later on, which means that it is a good day to curl up with a book. I think I will also have a chocolate muffin to go with my coffee. Talk to you soon...
