Work is a Four Letter Word...

By the title you may realise something is amiss between me and work. I'm working five days this week and so far, it's only Wednesday and I am so tired. I guess it doesn't help also that I leave home at 6 am, drive 25 minutes to the rail station and then have a train trip of 35 minutes! Oh well, think of the money, honey!!

I am wondering what they did to Oscar when he was in hospital. Since he's been home, after the first few days, he's been acting like a two-year-old. Honestly, I think he's gone back to his second kittenhood. He's always been playful and likes to play hide and seek, but now he's chasing his tail! That's what I mean by second kittenhood. I think it has something to do with having no fur. He now has this long skinny tail that swishes sooo invitingly, obviously it's just too much for him...
The funniest thing about Oscar's infamous shave is that people who have never seen him before think I've got some kind of expensive exotic pedigree! Yeah, right...

It's been a pretty sad few days since Steve Irwin was killed and it's so difficult to get onto any news websites, because everyone else is trying to do the same thing. Thank you for your comments about this larger than life Queenslander who, I am pretty sure, will never be forgotten. He did a lot for the native wildlife by lifting peoples' awareness of what is around them, as well as pushing conservation so passionately. It's now come out that he was a philanthropist as well, giving away heaps of money to worthwhile causes and no-one knew until now. Typical of the sort of person he was.
I reckon when he realised he was dead, his eyebrows would have shot up, he would have looked down and come out with, "Crickey! Have a look at this little beauty!!"
Talk to you all later in the week (if I can stay awake!).

Well I am just lost for words about the second childhood of your little cat.........how strange.

I would also like to add that our grandson down here has had a hard time about the death of steve and his pre-school have had to have a special talk in order to help those who were upset about it.

What a special man he was when both adults and children are feeling a great loss.

We pray for his family.
See you again soon.

Hey Miz Robyn,
I just wanted to stop by and say thanks for visiting my blog this week...you are a great friend!
I heard about Steve while I was away in Ky...it is sad that he lost his life, but at least he was doing what he enjoyed I'm sure.

Even here in the Pacific Northwest of the USA are grieved over the death of the Crocodile Hunter. He was admired by so many. Of course I realize that those of you who share his homeland are affected most deeply by his tragic death. I send my condolences to all.

I think Oscar is totally delighted with his new look. Imagine getting all that heavy fur removed. He probably does feel like a kitten again. LOL
