Oh dear...it must be my age!

I had a comment from Merle on my 100th post in which she wished me happy birthday. I wondered how she knew, as I knew I hadn't given the exact date.
Of course...she read it on my profile! (Slaps forehead and rolls eyes) Der!
So I confess. In the wee small hours this morning, the momentous event of turning one year older happened to me. Too bad I was asleep and missed it.
Now, according to my horoscope or should I say, depending on which magazine, paper, or website I read, I'm either Capricorn or Aquarius. Capricorns are practical, down to earth people, who are often achievers. Aquarians are sporty, funloving and want to save the world. No wonder I'm so mixed up and suffering from double personality disorder. I don't know who I am and despite searching all my life, I still haven't found the "real" me, whoever that is.
So...I have decided to make a 13th sign of the zodiac - Capriquarius! These people are practical and sensible. They save their money, pay all their bills on time, never run out of gas in the car, never run out of food and work hard to claw their way up the ladder of success. But...during that time, they splurge on shopping sprees, forget about putting gas in the car, play tennis, swim and party and don't worry about the bills, food or other mundane things, because there is a famine in Ethiopa and they are on the first plane carrying relief to the stricken Ethiopians!
Those who share this birth date will know exactly what I am talking about. It gets very confusing at times, because we cannot remember whether we're in a practical phase or an impulsive one. Sometimes the two clash...and that can be very traumatic.
Picture this. You're in the process of paying your phone bill online, but somehow or other, you are directed to a totally different site. An online shopping site like eBay or something like that. Before you know it, you've bid on an antique marital aid from deepest darkest Uzbhekistan - and you've won the auction! The Aquarian side of your personality is thrilled to bits with this unique piece of history while the Capricorn side is having a nervous breakdown at the thought of the phone, mobile and broadband access being cut off. You see what I mean?
Now, I've had to contend with this all my life. It doesn't help when your mother reminisces about your childhood and says, "You were such a strange child!" Do you wonder why I have a complex?
So there it is, an insight into my mixed up personality. I hope I still have some friends left after you read this ;-)

Just a point, Robyn...those 'marital aides' you refer to...you can get them cheaper here in Aus, you know...the batteries are pretty cheap at IGA, as well! Cuts out on the postal expenses...just a thought! And as a second thought, new ones would be far better, I think...you never know where the ones from Uzbekistan have been!

Happy Birthday, you mixed-up Capriquarius! ;)

Happy Birthday Robyn. I hope you have a wonderful day. Lots of love, Nic xox.

Take out the 'e' from my comment. Typo because I got excited! Well, that is, of course, it was 'aides' you meant!

Lee: How much wine have you had? As for the marital aid - it's an antique - doesn't use batteries. And sorry, didn't mean to get you excited!!!

Nic: Thank you, Nic. It's been good so far, probably because I have a few nutters for friends, lol!

How old was he, Robyn?

Capriquarius sound sort of like a fish wearing short pants.

What word would you make out of Aries and Taurus?

Belated Happy Birthday.

A very happy birthday to you and all the best to you and your multiples personalities ! Isn't that nice ? You should be happy ! How boring would it be to be only one person (and probably the worst of all of them) I am cancer, and not alone either ! Most of the time I have to settle the fights with my other I's.
(I saw this morning on Merle's blog that's your birthday today).

Hi Robyn ~~ Great photo - thanks for sharing that with us. I hope you have had a great day today.Honestly I don't remember where I got your birthday from. I have a little book with only blogger's birthdays in it.
Maybe from Pea ? I am glad it hasn't been so humid up there, we have had enough after 3 days of it. Glad at least that rain fell and helped the fireys quite a lot.

Lee: Who?? lol!

Ann: A fish in short pants - that's different. Aries and Taurus? Hmmm, have to think about that one. Ram and bull - how about Rambull?!

Gattina: Thank you for your good wishes. At least we have interesting conversations and we're never short of anyone to argue with!

Merle: You got it off my profile, I think. What we wouldn't give for three days of rain. It would fill the water tanks!

Meow: Thank you, dear Meow. I've been drinking wine with Lee! We started early this morning, lol!

oajltdqRobyn,
Nice, now you and Lee are getting me excited and I've not had any wine at the current time of 6:41am.

I have a similar problem astrologically, ie: Libra/Virgo
Libra
Diplomaitic and urbane
Romantic and charming
Easygoing and sociable
Idealistic and peaceable

Indecisive and changeable
Gullible and easily infuenced
Flirtatious and self-indulgent

Virgo
Modest and shy
Meticulous and reliable
Practical and diligent
Intelligent and analytical

Fussy and a worrier
Overcritical and harsh
Perfectionist and conservative

virgo/libra = Viagra?
Scaly virgin?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LUV.

Lee: Old enough

Peter: Oh! So it's not my age after all...well, that's good. I must have given it to someone, I guess.

Rel: Us? Get you excited? Nah, we wouldn't do that... Viagra...hahahaha! You do realise now that everytime I come over to your post, I'll be thinking of mermaids, lol!

Rachel: Hi! Thank you for visiting and for your birthday wishes.

Pea: It doesn't matter what your singing sounds like, it's the thought that counts. Thank you. As for the time difference, don't worry about it. Just post and we'll get to see it. I post tomorrow for you and you see it today, but you post yesterday for me. Confused? I am!

Puss-in-Boots said...

Lee: Actually, I did got to bed feeling extremely tired last night, but no head this morning!

Robyn, first of all, of course:
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU"

I am a cusp person too (meaning that I straddle the dates usually given for two different signs). Amazing how many people who have commented in here are too - might be something there?

I am Taurus and Gemini - but one time I found a place that can tell you exactly which it really is.

Apparently it is all to do with the year of your birth. The sign changes at an exact date in each different year, so when you know your year you can see where the sun was - in which sign - I will see if I can find something more about it, if you like, I might have a bookmark saved somewhere?

I have known and worked with many Capricorn women, and married to to a Capricorn for quite a long time.

I understand your dilemma too, I think of it that my stolid Taurus keeps my flighty Gemini's feet on the ground.

The best way to choose which you are, is exactly what you have done, in other words you simply have to look at yourself - you know how you are! hehehee - or you should by now... I love your description, by the way...

:-)

Della is three people as Gemini's a twins...and she's got a bit of bull there, too! Sorry, Della! ;)

I was married to a Capricorn, too...and to a Gemini! Not at the same time, of course!!

I hope your birthday was great. I celebrated mine today although it isn't until the 22nd. Had a houseful. It was wonderful.

Puss-in-Boots said...

Della: Thank you for your birthday wishes.

There are a lot of cusp people around and I think they're very interesting people. Take yourself, f'rinstanc. People could either be talking to one of your Gemini personalities, or the Taurean one! Keep 'em guessing, that's what I say.

Did you read Rel's comment - it's really funny!

Lee: As a Scorpio, the Capricorn would probably have dealt with you better than the Gemini. And at least with the Capricorn, you only have one personality to deal with!

MM: Happy birthday for tomorrow! Glad you had a good "pre-birthday".

Happy Birthday puss-in-boots! I was googling for good jokes, stumbled across Merles blog, found her new blog, saw your birthday mentioned and thought "hey! that's my birthday too!" so wandered on over here to wish you all the best!
I have to say I LOVE your Capriquarius idea - I think it suits me down to a 'T' too. It's fantastic to know there's someone else out there who's confused as I am as to what starsign they really are. ;)

Anyway, cheers and the very best of wishes.

Justine: Thanks for your good wishes. Have you got a blog? I was trying to click on to you but nothing came up.

(I'm here from Susie's blog and thought I'd pay you a visit.)

Happy sunday. Oh....and tho you slept on your special day, I'll leave you with a birthday wish. Hope whatever you dreamed of---came true.

Hi Robyn, re your comment "only the good die young" I used to take some heart from this once upon a time... but since I have turned 70 I'm thinking it's a bit of a stretch to think I'm still in the "young" category so I'm keepin' a close eye on those buses now-a-days.

Puss-in-Boots said...

Peter: Don't you realise 70 is the new 50? That's why you're gonna be here for a while!
