One Hundred Posts!!

It's really strange...when I posted earlier, I could upload pictures. Tonight I can't. What the...?

Anyway this is my hundredth post and what could be more appropriate than talking about the tennis - our wonderful Australian Open. Last night -now was that a game, or was that a game?

I had my money on Marcos Baghdatis...but it wasn't long into the game when I switched allegiance, as did the crowd (apart from Baghdatis' compatriots, the vocal Cypriots), and put my money on the Frenchman, Gael Monfils. I've never seen anything like it! He's tall with the longest legs - and he was everywhere! His long legs stretching out, skidding across the court and whack! the ball went hurtling back to his opponent. If I was facing serves coming at me at close to 200 km/h, I'd be running screaming from the arena!

The game was fantastic, but the crowd were great too. Flags, wigs, painted faces and lots of vocalising, I could feel some of the atmosphere at home. As one commentator muttered, it was more like a soccer crowd, but...and this is the best thing, only one idiot was ejected for loutish behaviour, although apparently the wankers who created trouble the first night were there. However, there didn't appear to be any trouble.

So, that is my centenary post and now I shall continue yelling for Sam Stosur who is currently playing Jelena Kostanic. Sam is a Queenslander from the Gold Coast, so naturally, we're hoping she gets through.

Congratulations ! I missed my 100, I noticed yesterday with surprise that I posted already 142 times ! It's like our wedding day I always forget (Mr. Gattino not) It's unbelievable. I don't watch Tennis for the moment, I wait for Kim Kleysters I hope she will win, she is such a nice girl (belgian) unfortunately after that she will stop !

Wasn't that Montfils something else again? He was hilarious to watch...and those matchstick legs of his! I was waiting for them to snap! His arms and legs were going all over the place and his body in another direction all at the same time! lol

I love watching Nadal...what a body that young guy has! I've liked him ever since I first saw him a couple or so years ago. The tennis is great...I'm addicted to it at the moment...and waking up bleary-eyed every day...this will continue until the Open is over...another 10 days to go!

Congratulations on your hundredth birthday, Robyn! ;)

Nic: Thank you for good wishes and I hope we all share many more blogs and posts!

Gattina: Thank you. You forget your wedding anniversary?? Gattina!! It's the men who forget and the women who get upset, lol! Yes, it's a shame Kim Kleysters is retiring, she's a good tennis player.

Peter: Ah hah! You've been blogging for a loooong time, Peter. The tennis is wonderful, this year especially, lots of action and excitement!

G'Day Lee, wondered when you were going to pop again. Monfils certainly has his own style. The commentators were dumbfounded. Ooooh yes, Nadal is rather a lovely looking young fellow alright. What is it they say...oh yeah, eye candy, hehe!

Tammy: Thank you, sweetie.

Robyn,
That was a smashing serve for your 100th. Congrats.
I've never been able to watch sport on the telly. I either watch live in the "arena", or play it myself.

Rel: Thank you for your comment. I'm an avid participant of sport - as long as I'm in my lounge room watching it on TV, lol!

Merle: Thank you for your birthday wishes, dear friend. My daughter is calling in later on with Cooper so he can give his Nanny a birthday kiss.

Pea: Time sure does fly, especially when we're having so much fun with this blogging caper.
