On Cricketers, etc.

I watched the presentations for the Allen Border medal on Channel Nine last night. To my amazement, Brett Lee is number two in the pop charts in India. Apparently, the Indians love him and he's Bollywood material.

While he was there...I'm not sure whether it was during a cricket tour or not, as he loves going to India anyway...he was asked to record a song. Which he did. He also wrote it...in half-an-hour! So they played the video clip to the song. There was blond, baby-faced Brett Lee (no relation to me that I'm aware of), singing a romantic song to this Indian mama. And I mean "Mama". The daughter was in the video clip, too, but she missed out on Brett's boyish charm. It was mama he was interested in...hilarious. Funnily enough, his wife didn't seem overly impressed, in fact I thought she looked rather embarrassed.

But the man who really takes my fancy is Andrew Symons. Yep, dreadlocks and all. He's got a lovely face and I could look at him all night...sigh. When they were doing the above interview with Brett Lee, the camera kept switching to Andrew laughing his head off at it all and I was hoping the camera wouldn't move. I wish I was 30 years younger, because he obviously doesn't have a lady in his life...unless you count Shane Warne's 10-year-old daughter whom he escorted to the presentation last night. If he's that desperate maybe I'll email him my mobile number...lol!

It was very telling last night though when the other members of the Australian cricket team were asked what they wouldn't miss about Shane Warne, everyone interviewed mentioned his smoking...one or two mentioned the triple cheese toasted sandwiches. As for Glenn McGrath, apparently he's a bit of practical joker and again those asked said they wouldn't miss his schoolboy tricks. Unfortunately by then, it was 11.00 pm and I had to get up at five, so went to bed and missed the rest of the show.

Boring, aren't I?

You, boring? Never...Robyn! I agree with you about Andrew Symonds...he has a lovely face...I think he's pretty cute too. He and his wife split a while back. He escorted Lara Bingle to the Packer party to celebrate the Ashes but she is dating Michael Clarke I think and I saw that she was there on the night.

Now Robyn...you're the least boring person I know! A hot "older" lady like you, having your eye on some dreadlocked "younger" man is anything but boring!! LOL Although, I should start researching cricket and learning who the heck you're talking about!! hehe Hugs xoxo

You're not boring at all. I wish I could watch cricket from here. It's basketball season in the U.S. and basketball, to me, is boring!

Hi there! Thanks a lot for dropping by! I very much enjoyed your story about bathing poor Oscar! I grew up with cats but now have two birds who love their baths. I actually have a perch in the shower for them. I love all fur and feathered friends.
And no, you're certainly NOT boring...
~~~Blessings~~~
