Sunday, a Better Day...in all Senses of the Word

Well. the horse pills have kicked in and no...they weren't suppositories, as Peter suggested...and I feel a lot better. Yesterday was a bit of a write off, almost literally. I didn't realise how drowsy the antibiotics made me feel. I found out yestereday, I really shouldn't have been driving. There was no warning on the package about driving, unfortunately I didn't read the leaflet inside, it may have been there.
However, I did get home safely much to my surprise because my head was all over the place, I graunched the gears (yes, I have a manual car), which I never do, I forgot which gear I had put the shift in, I ended up in wrong lanes...it was awful and scaring me silly, so I only did a fraction of what I had to do and came home. Once home, I collapsed onto the bed and slept for three hours!
Anyway, today I'm much better, went out and finished what I had to do and didn't tangle the gears or get in the wrong lane. People on the road weren't in any danger from me today. I did have a small win in Lotto, $25.60, so that went some way towards reimbursing me for the over-priced pharmaceuticals. I would have like a share of the $20 million first division though. Twenty-six people shared and received over $700,000 each. That would have been very nice. I don't want the lot, but I wouldn't say no to a share.
Well, this is very short, I have to iron my uniform, get dinner on and think about something to take to work for lunch tomorrow.
I hope you all have a lovely week. I'll try and comment but I may not post. Ta ta for now...

Poor girl, have you been so sick ? You should always read the little paper inside. Antibiotics can be very traitorous ! For the Lotto you probably have more luck in love than in games, lol ! Next time it will be 50 !

Hi Robyn ~~ Glad to hear you are feeling better, but sorry you had such a scary experience driving. So
glad you are safe and hope you will be AOK soon.
Thanks for your comment on Dancing with God. We will never see the word Guidance again without thinking of this. I really appreciated the help from my family yesterday. Take care,
Enjoy your week, LOve, Merle.

Gattina: Yes, I should have read the leaflet inside, it was not very bright of me, I'm afraid. I hope the next Lotto win will be a little more. It would be rather nice.

Merle: Thank you for your kind comment, my friend. I'm going to watch Ugly Betty now and see what all the fuss is about.

I am so glad that you are feeling better! Yes, antibiotics can make one drowsy, even knock one out. At least that's been my experience.

Blessings! And stay well (I pray).

Ugh, I truly do hate the way some of those pills can make you feel...I took Advil last night for my ankle and it knocked me out for a couple of hours! lol You can imagine what antibiotics do to me now!! You're darn lucky you made it home safely, wow! Glad to hear you're feeling much better today:-) Hugs xoxo

Tammy: Thank you, love.

Rel: Thanks Rel. Fun week, yeah, mooching into the city for the next couple of weeks.

Nick: Thank you for your good wishes...I welome the prayers.

Pea: I know what you mean. Because I don't take medications (does wine count?) unless I have to, consequently a couple of Panadol can have a rather alarming effect...like sleepiness. So I don't know why I should have been so surprised about the antibiotics!

Wow, that's scary with antibiotics without warnings against driving if they really have the effect you describe. What would have happend if you were mixed up in an accident with the intake of the medicine?

You'll have a share in the big win next time, I hope:)

TorAa: If I was caught, I'd have been charged for driving under the influence of drugs. There's no excuse here. Thank you for your positivity with the Lotto win.

Hi again Robyn ~~ Hope you are feeling even better by now.
I laughed about how you relate to your body being a car. But don't knock old age, the alterative is not so good !! Take care, Love, Merle.

Wow, I've never known antibiotics to have those sort of effects. They need to be labelled so to stop people driving when on them.
Glad you are feeling better now.
Take care, Meow
