Just Catching Up

Well, the APEC circus goes on with Dubya as the main attraction. As for the guys from The Chaser...let me tell you something.

Their show is broadcast on the ABC which is Government owned, they checked with their lawyers (Government) about whether to go ahead with the motorcade stunt, were given the OK and now the Government is most displeased and are probably going to prosecute...go figure.

Onto more mundane happenings...in my neck of the woods, nothing nearly as important as world leaders gathering to produce hot air. Last night (Friday) I had Harry and his sister, Brooke, staying. As usual, we got together with the neighbours for communal fish and chips and had a lovely time. The two grandchildren collapsed into bed and were still asleep when their mother came to collect them...at 9.00am.

Tonight was another communal dinner. Roger, from over the back, had a cash job which landed him $1,000 in the pocket so he shouted dinner...Chinese...yummm! We had the usual wine and Wendy (Roger's wife) donated a bottle of Kilkenny Cream...not unlike Bailey's Irish Cream, but with a slightly coconut flavour...oooooh, totally divine!

Consequently, I'm having trouble typing this post...so I think I will desist until tomorrow, or whenever.

Hi Robyn! I've been watching the news coverage of the OPEC summit there in Austria... hilarious! I was wondering why Osama Bin Laden would choose to use the Canadian flag to get through security. We over here in Canada like to think that it's coz we're so trustworthy hehe....anyways, good on them, I'm sure it made for hilarious tv! Sound like you had a great party over there, that killkenny cream sounds interesting :9 Have a great weekend, Nermal sends some purrrs over to ya!

Hello Robyn! Believe it or not, I've thought a lot about you over the last few months. And now that my own Oscar has passed, I feel even more connected to you. Strange isn't it? We're on opposite sides of the word but we had this quirky connection through our Oscars. I've decided to keep his blog going but now he's blogging from the other side.

Thank you for your kind words. They meant so much coming from you. I know you miss your boy. I hope you don't mind, but I'd like our boys to meet up and have some extreme adventures. Please let me know if you'd rather I didn't.

Take Care,
Kim

Today I take the Cyber Cruise to London, more exactly to Croydon which is much nicer than the city center for shopping or window shopping. I really love this place. I went back there when I stayed with my friends in Eastbourne this August. And then I had to do this Onion meme, lol !

Hi Robyn ~~ Sounds like a good time was had by all. Lovely to have the grandkids to stay and
your neighbours are more like good friends. Which is great for you all.
I am most grateful to Geoff for always coming to do my garden every few weeks. I am
amazed at the easing of our water restrictions as we have had NO rain. Doubt if it will last. What are Levels 5 and 6 like? We only go to 4 down here. Take care Robym, Love, Merle.

APEC is definitely a circus, three ringed; the Kilkenny Cream sounds wonderful.

Alex continues to pester me for his own blog.
