Air Attack!

The funniest thing happened the other day. Roger, Jane's brother was out washing his big Landcruiser (he's a keen off road 4WD fanatic). As he stood up, an advance formation of five rather large cockatoos flew over, only about 2 metres above his head. As they were directly over him, all five went "SQUAAAARK!!"; Roger yelled "AAAAARRRGH!!" in fright. Then a following squadron of lorikeets, chasing the cockatoos off, but flying even lower, shot over Roger's head cheeping and chirping very aggressively, making an incredible noise.

"Give me a break!" yelled Roger, who stomped off inside and made himself a cup of coffee. As you can imagine, watching the antics of the local wildlife and one beleagured human made for a hilarious "you had to be there" moment.

Hahaha ! that must have been very funny to see, but not to live ! Poor Roger ! If you read my post today I was invaded by snails ! It is amazing that they haven't eaten up the whole house !
My suitcase is ready and Pookie sits on top of it ! Tomorrow morning at 4 am we have to leave for the airport our plane is at 6 ! Ilona sleeps here tonight so tomorrow morning Mr. Gattino can drive us to the airport.

....and I for one would have LOVED to have been there. I would still be rollin' with laughter. So much so, my sides would ache.

Dear Robyn ~~ Yay for the lorikeets, I am not fond of those screeching cockatoos. So noisy and not a pleasant squark either. Poor Roger.
Thank you so much for your birthday greetings. Tomorrow should be nice with us all eating out together.
The girls live too far away.
My best birthday present is the fact that Rex got the all clear of cancer. Now for Vicki to continue to get better.
Take care dear friend, Love, Merle.
