Goodbye Shelby

It was a sad day yesterday when we had to say farewell to Shelby, Jane and Fred's dear old retriever.  It was very sudden, which meant that she didn't suffer.

So a tearful goodbye was held in the back paddock and a few words said amid tears from us all.

Farewell, Shelby, faithful friend and loved family member

Always a sad time when you lose a pet especially one of long standing.

Sorry to hear about Shelby, it's always hard to see a family member go. I said my goodbyes to my best friend's dog yesterday, he doesn't have much longer. And Mushu (my big fish that you're not too fond of hehe) just died yesterday... he jumped out of his tank a few days ago and sustained multiple injuries. Take care Robyn...

Sorry to learn of Shelby's passing. It can be quite difficult for us when we lose such a loved one.

We are reminded of them constantly in our daily lives. That brings both joy and sorrow. Mostly joy.

You might want to share the Rainbow Bridge poem with your friends. I have found it extremely helpful since our dear Hazel passed on last year.

btw, we do seem to see her often, mostly in cat food/litter commercials on the "telly".

Hi Robyn ~~ So sad to lose Shelby after so many years. Thankfully she didn't suffer and went quickly. That Rainbow Bridge Poem is lovely. (that Jack mentioned.)
I like your new Header - the kittens have grown into cats. Funny about that.
Thanks for your comments and glad you liked the Computer one tec. Sorry you have been coughing with smoke and hope the fire is out. It is still darn hot here and Peter is
coming for a visit. He won't be happy. Neither of us like the heat.
Take good care, my friend,
Love and Hugs, Merle.

Oh.... how sad... though I'm glad it went fast without pain at least. I had a very tough time when my dog passed away. Several very painful heartattacks... it was so heartbreaking awful to see. We had to take him in that condition to the Vet to put him to sleep. *shivers*

May she rest in peace...
