Easter 2010

Happy Easter to All.  I hope you've had a lovely long weekend with your loved ones.

My Easter has been family, friends and dogs!  On Saturday our friend, Naomi, came to visit with her two "boys", Bentley and Major Happyfeet.  We ended up having wine o'clock (surprise, surprise).  Jane had a bottle of pink bubbles and I had some asti spumante I had received as a birthday gift.  Ooooh, it was nice.  I hadn't had asti for about 40 odd years.  My parents used to have a licensed restaurant back then, and asti was the drink of choice.  I rang my mum on Sunday and mentioned to her what we'd been drinking and she said the mention of it took her back to those days.  That was also the last time she'd had asti, too.

Anyway, the evening was lovely, except for the bities which were out in full forces.  I have their legacy on my feet to prove it and the itching has been driving me nuts for the last couple of days.  However, I'll get over it...

Sunday, I spent with my daughters and grandchildren.  My eldest daughter was at a dog show in the morning, so I had lunch with my youngest daughter and her two girls, then called in to see No 1 Daughter (Cooper's mum) later in the afternoon.  I know one thing...I'm all chocolated out.  Well, for the time being, anyway.

I took a couple of photos of Naomi's two boys...

Bentley, the Sharpei.  A big gentle boofhead of a dog.  Actually, he's not that big yet...still has a way to go.

I love his worried wrinkles and sloppy grin.

Major Happyfeet smiling beautifully for the camera.  He's a very energetic little Pomeranian, who thinks he's a jack in a box.

Your Easter sounds nice ! Asti is so very commun here at least in Summer when it is or should be warm. I liked it very much too. My Easter was rather boring. Mr. G. was in bed with a cold and a running nose and felt lousy, it was grey and rainy and only 5°C ! So everybody stayed home. My son and DIL couldn't come, they will come next weekend. See, you didn't have a decoration but a nice Easter, I had the decoration and no Easter, lol ! Love the wrinkled dog, he looks too funny !

Cute, cute fur babies!!!

Sounds like your Easter weekend was perfect. A good glass of wine and bubbly always makes for a good time if you ask me.

Ohhhhhhhh, now you've done did it....you're making ME itch!!

I'm pleased to hear that you had a nice Easter, Robyn. I find Asti far too sweet for my own taste and haven't tried it in years and years because of that. Personally, I prefer a dry sparkly (and stills), but I'm glad you enjoyed it.

I had a nice Easter, too...quiet, but that's what I had planned for myself...and succeeded. I did have a small soiree on Thursday evening that extended into 5 hours! I invited my landlords down for a wine to two as has become a bit of a tradition for us on Easter Thursday. Yikes! Won't do that again in a hurry! ;)

The rest of the weekend, I kept low, reading and watching movies; eating chocolate with my two furry rascals as company.

Now I'm doing the laundry! Thought I'd better get my finger out!

Happy Easter!

Mozzies always get me, so I take antihistamine tablets, otherwise the itching drives me crazy.

It's a bit late for me to drop by for Easter... I take that back. It is never too late to say HAPPY EASTER.

Hi Robyn ~~I am glad your Easter was nice with family. Mine was also with
my daughter and 4 kids coming for a few days. That was great and a good
surprise to cheer me up. I am OK but have had a few setbacks lately.
Take care my friend, Love, Merle.

Belated Happy Easter - sorry I haven't been around for a while! Very busy at work, some travelling and also planning for the Oslo Blog Gathering takes time you know (really hope to see you! Have you seen the guest list?)
