For some reason or other, the pace has picked up lately. Apart from the work I do at home, I gave my daughter a hand in their business the other day, I've been helping Jane out with her work, then mum was worried that she hadn't heard from her brother who lives on the other side of the country (it was cheaper for me to ring him than for her to ring), so that was a long chat...but it was lovely to speak with him; then my youngest daughter rang and asked me to go shopping...had to do that, just to keep an eye on her! So what with one thing and another my blog writing, as well as other writing, have taken a back seat.
However, I have been taking photos...the camera has been in use, anyway, with the thought that I'd eventually get a post done. See...I do think of you all...
These two photos below are from a fishing trip I went on last Sunday. Didn't catch anything, it was more of a fish feeding exercise. The pod of dolphins hanging round didn't help much either. They were rounding up the fish for a good feed and wouldn't chase them our way, although it was lovely to see dolphins.
We went out onto the Broadwater from Runaway Bay down on the Gold Coast and eventually anchored just north of Couran Cove (sorry, Queenslanders will know where I mean). On the way to this spot we passed a couple of interesting homes...have a look:
Nothing like starting 'em young...
Remember, I had previously mentioned our peculiar weather...the seasons out of whack and so on? Check these out...

Nice to see the photo of my holiday house down the coast, thanks Robyn.
that last orchid does have wonderful colours.
A hand mower! Now I haven't seen one of those for a long time. Brings back memories.
That chick has an enormous beak. Are your magpies black and white like ours?
You're right about the weather: we have midsummer heat at the moment, and it came all of a sudden.
Hope you're well!
Nice pictures ! I arrived in Morocco this morning and the afternoon we spent at the swimming pool. After 3 h flight we were greated by palm trees and camels !!
Tomorrow the round trip starts, first stop Casablanca !
You have certainly been a busy girl!!!
Those mansions are incredible!! The first one looks more like a resort hotel. I can't imagine living in a place like that. I wouldn't want tob e the one cleaning it either. Just think, one big wave and it's all gone.
Your flowers are lovely!! I've never seen a yellow/orange orchind like that either. It's wonderful!!!
The picture of the little tyke mowing the grass is just precious. I'd frame it and hang it on the wall.
Thanks for sharing.
hello, it's midnight here in Norway.
Just now we are watching a BBC reportation from Cumbais in Papua.
Just moved to our tiny summer home.
The flower in your last photo is splendid. A very wonderful flower

It is better busy than not! Love that young man moving the grass! LOL!
Lovely pictures.
Runaway Bay makes me feel homesick. Only 10 months until I get back though (next March). Got to work out what I am going to do with Faz and Birks - cattery or home sitter. They hate the cattery but the homesitter costs a small fortune. Decisions, decisions. Love the flowers too.
Hi Robyn ~~ Great post and some lovely photos. Cooper
mowing is so cute. I love the
Frangipani as well as the orchids, and that mansion - WOW.
Thanks for your comments my friend. Love, Merle.
I'm always saying there's never enough hours in a day to do everything I want to do...we need more hours! lol Even on days when I think it will be a quiet day and I can spend the day blogging and visiting, never ends up that way. Oh well, life does tend to take a front seat to blogging:-)
My whole house would probably fit in one of those houses' bathrooms! lol Makes you wonder, though, why anyone would need THAT much space. I'd hate to get lost in my own home!! hehe
Darling picture of Cooper and it reminded me of when I was that age and I'd try to push dad's lawn mower at camp...wouldn't budge! lol
Such beautiful flowers you have over there. I'm really thinking the whole world is mixed up with what season it's supposed to be! We are getting such hot and dry weather, not something we're used to in May!
Stay well and keep out of trouble...at least try!!! :-) xoxo
