Another Happy Couple

My eldest grandson and his fiancee visited his mum (my eldest daughter) today. Marjolijn (Mayo) is on holiday from Holland and when she leaves Australia to go back home, Nick will be going as well to make his life there with her. On 11th August, we're having a farewell party/engagement/birthday party (Nick's birthday is on 30 August) and I think they fly out on 13 August. So it was nice to see them today in a more intimate setting.

Nick and Cooper had us in fits of laughter. Nick was blowing up a balloon, making it squeak and letting it go so it shot around the room. Of course, Cooper was highly entertained with all this. But what was so funny was when Nick gave Cooper the balloon to hold and of course, the air escaped and there was nothing for him to hold. The look of disbelief on Cooper's face was priceless. So, Nick did it again for him. This time Cooper was trying so hard to hold the balloon, his little feet were dancing up and down and he was literally quivering with excitement. I have never seen anything so funny. Unfortunately, it loses something in the telling, you really had to be there to see it. Both Toni and Mayo got videos of it on their phones so I'll see if I can get a copy and post it via Youtube. You can hear everyone laughing their heads off in the background.

Below are a couple of photos.

The happy couple (along with the folded towels!).

Nick and Cooper

Look at that dear little face...still with his lunch on it!

The one my father-in-law used to do for the children was the one with the brown paper bag. You hold the bag in one hand and then throw something imaginary up in the air and somehow click your fingers so it sounds and looks as if it has landed in the bag. It fascinated me too, can you tell?!

How do you feel about him leaving? It's so far from you. I would be happy for him but would feel the loss. Cooper is a cutie, and he always seems so happy!

I have enough phantasy to imagine the picture ! No wonder you laughed your head of ! He is a real cute little man ! And your grandson goes to Holland ! I really hope he will like it there I think it's one of the last places I want to live ! but see my son he loves Amsterdam (and his Marieken) and even thinks about buying a house there (poor me,lol) With my Potter post today I noticed that only very few of commentors got the sense of what I meant, this histeria about a book. All the others are really very serious and try to convince me to buy one ! But for that price I prefer to buy me another cat for my 350 pieces cat collection !
Poor Arthur suffers with his little Rosie ! she wakes him up all the time, lol !

The very best of luck to Nick and his fiancee...that will be quite the move for him and I've no doubt you will all miss him very much!! Robyn, make sure you read my post from Saturday...there's something for you there and I don't think you saw it! lol xoxo

Thanks for your comment ! Watching Rosie and Arthur together is priceless I can't even watch a film anymore ! The black cat is a new "neighbor" as there are so many new houses there are also some new cats and this one is well fed and just came by for a visit. Arthur always looks in other cat bowls too. Must be a kind of sport !
